Peak Law Group
“A concept for a boutique law firm site that looks like the serious practice it is.”
01 — CONCEPT BRIEF
| Project type | Self-initiated concept |
|---|---|
| Client | Fictional — no real firm |
| Practice | Boutique family + commercial law |
| Design goal | Authoritative, never cold |
| Results | None claimed — design exercise only |
02 — THE SCENARIO
Peak Law Group is a fictional boutique family and commercial law practice in Melbourne, invented for this concept. The scenario: three partners whose work arrives mostly through referrals, and a dated website that undermines those referrals at the moment a prospective client checks the firm out.
The design question: how does a small firm look as serious as a large one, without going cold and corporate, in the few seconds someone takes to decide whether to make an enquiry?
03 — WHAT THE CONCEPT COVERS
- 6-page structure: Home, Practice Areas, Our Team, Process, Blog, Contact
- Individual partner profile pages, designed to build trust
- Practice area pages with FAQ sections
- Consultation booking section, designed around an embedded scheduler
- Blog layout ready for ongoing content
- Local SEO structure planned around practice areas and suburbs
- Client portal link placed in the navigation
04 — THE APPROACH
Law firm sites tend to fail in one of two ways: cold and corporate, or so keen to seem approachable that they lose authority. This concept aims to hold both.
The site is built around the three partners: their stories, combined experience and values, in the visual language of a top-tier firm. Every page is structured to answer the three questions a potential client has: Can you handle my situation? Are you trustworthy? How do I start?
05 — VISUAL IDENTITY DIRECTION
Cormorant Garamond for display / Outfit 400 for body
Old-money law meets modern practice. Think chambers, not corporation. Deep forest green with warm gold — authoritative without being cold.
