This page covers the use of jomelbasco.com and the productized services I sell through it. By browsing the site or hiring me, you accept these terms. If you don’t, don’t use the site.
One important note up front: the project agreement we sign at engagement time is the binding contract for any work I do for you. This page is the website’s general terms. If anything here conflicts with your signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.
I’m Jomel Basco, a solo WordPress and Elementor developer based in Quezon City, Philippines. I sell productized website builds to service businesses and real estate professionals across the Philippines, Australia, the US, the UK, Singapore, and Canada.
The site is a portfolio and a way to book work with me. The case studies, testimonials, and pricing are accurate at time of publication. Pricing on the Services page is current; final pricing for your project is in your written quote.
Nothing on the site is legal, financial, or business advice. The blog (when it exists) shares how I run my own practice — it’s experience, not advice you should apply without thinking.
A project starts when you:
Until step 3, there’s no agreement. You can walk away from a discovery call or an unsigned quote with zero obligation, in either direction.
50% to lock your build slot, 50% on launch day. Payments are processed via Stripe or bank transfer. Prices are listed in USD; I accept payment in PHP, AUD, GBP, and SGD at the spot exchange rate on the invoice date.
Recurring Care plans are billed monthly via Stripe subscription. Cancel any time with 30 days’ notice; access continues through the paid period.
Every project ships with the scope listed in your signed quote, plus:
Anything outside that scope — new pages, new integrations, redesigns of approved work — is quoted separately or covered by a Recurring Care plan.
Speed is the product. If you ask for fundamental changes to the brief on day 5 of a 7-day sprint, the launch date moves. I’ll tell you that before doing the work, not after.
Every offer comes with a first-design-round guarantee. If after the first design round you don’t feel the direction is right, I’ll refund the deposit minus a small kickoff fee covering the discovery and strategy time already spent.
After the first design round is approved, the build proceeds and the deposit becomes non-refundable. Final payment is due on launch day. I don’t withhold the live site once final payment clears.
When final payment clears, you own the finished website — design, copy I write for you, the WordPress install, all client-supplied assets. I transfer full admin access on launch day.
I retain the right to:
Anything you supply — photos, logos, brand assets, written content — remains yours. I make no claim on it.
Anything you share with me during a project that isn’t already public — internal numbers, customer lists, business strategy, login credentials — stays between us. I don’t repeat it, publish it, or use it for any client other than you.
If you need a signed NDA on top of this, I’ll sign yours or send mine, no friction.
Most projects involve third-party services I recommend or set up on your behalf: hosting (Cloudways, Kinsta, or SiteGround), domain registrars, payment processors, email tools, analytics, and Elementor Pro itself.
I configure these correctly at handover. After handover, they’re your accounts under your control. I’m not liable for their pricing changes, outages, bugs, or terms-of-service updates. If something breaks on a third-party tool, I’ll help diagnose, but the fix may need to come from them.
I do my work carefully and stand behind it. That said, my total liability for any claim arising from the website or my services is capped at the total amount you paid me for the relevant project.
I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost revenue, lost data caused by third parties, missed opportunities. I am liable for fixing my own mistakes, and I do that without invoicing extra.
Either of us can end a project early. If you end it after work has started, the deposit covers what’s been delivered up to that point; anything paid above that is refunded pro-rata. If I end it (extremely rare — has happened twice in five years), I refund all paid amounts and you keep whatever has been built so far.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes that can’t be resolved in conversation go to the courts of Quezon City.
For international clients, this doesn’t override consumer protection rights in your home jurisdiction — those still apply.
I update this page when my offers or process change. The version at the top of the page is the current one. Material changes get a notice on the home page for 30 days. Active projects are governed by the terms in force on the day you signed your quote, not the latest version of this page.
